Today i’m going to show you how to install and setup a SATA Hard Drive on a desktop PC. (Parts needed is in picture above)

Always remember to discharge yourself before touching the HDD. This is done by touching the metal inside the case with you hands, as showed in the picture below

These are the things you will need:

• Screwdriver to screw the side of your case off/on
• SATA Cable
• Molex to SATA Converter [Only needed if no SATA Power Cable is available]
• A SATA Hard Drive
• A Desktop PC (duh!)

Step 1. Installing the Hard Drive into the case.
1. Take out all wires and cables from the PC. Also hit the power button located on the back of the PC where the PSU is. Unplug the mains lead from the supply.

2. Screw the side panel of the pc

3. Connect your SATA Cable to the Motherboard

4. If needed connect your Molex to SATA converter

5. Put the harddrive into one of the free slots and connect the SATA power cable and the SATA Cable (Red)

6. Put the side panel on again, and screw in the screws

7. Connect all your cables to your PC again

Step 2. Checking if it’s working
1. Turn on your PC

2. Go into your BIOS, and look if it shows the newly installed Hard Drive along with the rest of the system info

Step 3. Formatting and Using the Hard Drive
1. Click start menu ==> Right click Computer in the right panel ==> Click “Manage”

2. Enter the “Disk Management” (Look in the left pane)

3. You should now be able to see the Hard Drive in there as Unallocated space

4. Right Click the Bar in the bottom and click “New Simple Volume”

5. Follow the wizard, choose a name, amount of space the partion should have and the Drive letter.

6. Now you can see your new Hard drive in “Computer”

(New HDD would be M: in this case)

It not only hides the folder, but hide all files… and try opening it without entering password, it’l take you to the control panel. Also, if you want to store files on your Pen-Drive, you can use this script. No Software Required. Incase you delete your Locker file (just in case), then you can make a new one (but with the same password) and open it from that. Alternatively, you can keep this locker file somewhere else, and when you want to open your folder, only then bring it back to that place.

1. Make a new folder ( name it as you like ):

2. Inside this folder make a ( TXT ) file & copy inside it this (the entire thing):

4. After you copy the Command code, go to the bold words (or try using shortcut- CTRL+F and type password to locate the line) you will find this word : password here (Change it with any password u like.) is :

eg: if NOT %pass%== example1234 goto FAIL
//so your password here becomes example1234 .//

5. After that go to Save as… & name this file as “locker.bat “. Be sure to change the “Save as type” from “text” to “All Files” :

6. Now back to the folder & u will find a ( LOCKER ) commanding (locker.bat). Double Click on it & you will find a new folder (Private ):

7. Now copy what you want in this “private Folder” & after that come out of the folder, and Double click on locker again. It will open and ask if you want to lock your folder? Y/N ?

8. Type Y. your private folder will disappear.

9. If you want to UNLOCK your folder ,go to (locker) & type your pass and you will see your private folder.

10. Enter the password and hit “Enter”.

This will show you how to utilize the GMail Drive 8GB of storage as local storage in Windows Explorer. Be aware that support for this tool may suspend at any time if Google decides to block its use. Also prepare to reboot your system. And sadly its is not 64-bit compatible.

Here’s How:

1. To get started, download the latest version of GMail Drive from viksoe.dk and install it. You’ll notice that it’s dropped an addition to your ‘Computer’ in Explorer.

2. Right click the GMail Drive in Computer an select Login As…

3. Enter your vital statistics and hit OK

4. You may get a window saying “enumerating folder”. Try not to disturb Explorer or this window whilst it’s working. When it’s finished you’ll be asked if you’d like to reboot.
Once your in, it’s a simple case of dragging and dropping your documents, pictures, music into the GMail Drive.

It’ll instantly sync your GMail Drive with your online GMail account, where you can listen to, view the item, download, or view as a Google Document.

To add these useful shortcuts, just download following zip file, extract it and then run the .REG file:

To launch the tool all you need to do is right-click on the ISO image file you want to burn and then click on the “Burn disc image” option.

You then get the following dialogue box that allows you to select which burner (if you have multiple burners) you want to write the image to and if you want to also verify the image once it is burnt.

Then it is just a simple case of clicking on “Burn” and waiting.

Once you are done click “Close” and your disc will be ready.

Now this process will also work on CD and Rewritable media however if you want to erase the disk just right click on the drive with the disc in it and click “Erase this disk”.

Note: This option will only be available on drives that have rewritable media in them.

This will launch the erase disc wizard where you just click “Next”

Wait for the erase to complete

and then click “Finish”

So now you will be all ready to start burning Windows 8 beta ISO images when it comes out.

It can show temperatures, fan speeds, loads, memory usage and clock speed to help you keep an eye out for overheating or faulty graphic cards. You can even run several instances of the gadget if you have got more than one graphic card.

This is my personal favorite of all the windows 7 gadgets I’ve tested, so try it out yourself!

The back-end of this win7 gadget uses technology like nTune, NVAPI and ATIADL to determine GPU information.
